    FWIW,,, When my eaton clutch packs wear out,, I will be going Trutracs,, they are awesome,,, I have a TT in my 67 camaro, and you can not tell it is in there. Mash it,, it has never failed to hook up. Ever.

    Engine oil lines.

    I run rubber the entire length,, Used automotive flare fittings at the cooler and filter.. Installed Gates hose rated for oil and pressure.. been that was for 200K miles

    Precision windshield gasket, self locking or lock strip?

    I justhad my 89 done,,, I Called a glass company. New glass with tint/antenna plus new lock strip gasket and installed for $350. I was going to do it myself but with parts and shipping the glass company was cheaper.

    What gears

    I have a 89 suburban 5.7tbi, 4L80 14 bolt and run 456 gears. I get ~12 mpg around town and ~15 on the highway. I cruise ~65.

    Tire suggestions for lifted 86 suburban

    I run 37s Falkens with a 2 inch lift. I run 38 Falken RTs on another truck and really like the tires, Cost not bad,, Ride is great. I will be replacing the 37 AT with 38 RT when they wear out. I was thinking 40s but radial choices get less and the cost $$$

    Fuel gauge to tachometer, clock to fuel gauge

    Alex,, I also used the LMC kit,, It was better than expected, very pleased with the quality and the kit was 100% complete. It has been in for a few years and works perfect. I would recommend it over anything else if OEM look is important. Also,, No cutting up any factory stuff. Chris

    Changing gear ratios: opinions/suggestions wanted!!

    Forgot to add,,, I run 411s in my dentside with a C6 and 38s, it is OK on the highway ~60mph but i don't drive it a lot of miles,,, Before the motor rebuild I went 488s and had gear remorse. New motor has a lot more HP, went back to 411s. Still wish i had OD in the truck.

    I run 4.56s, 37 Falkens and a 4l80. The 37s make the 456 feel like ~3.73-3.91s. Without OD it sucks. The converter lock up is a added bonus. Before swapping the gears,, look into a 4l80,, a lot of donors available. I use the MSD atomic controller and it has been flawless for 10 years now.

    New build 454 and the wife hates the exhaust smell

    Something is not right. Can you data log with the sniper? what is the AFR at idle when you smell it? What is the engine temp?
