Alright that's what I was thinking, I may bore out those holes slightly and clean the oil pan just for reassurance but it does contact block without studs interference without gasket, just close. I do not want to remove them if I can avoid it since it was just built. Once I can get to rotating...
So those two holes in the oil pan as pictured do clear those studs slightly, is that what they are for ? I am curious, I don't like how close they are but then again the main caps are in a fixed position so it may not cause an issue. I am just trying to think about all possibilities since new motor

Rear brake shoes were way out of adjustment, rubbed my thumb raw spinning the adjuster wheel and got the drum snug against the shoes. Decent pedal now with engine running but still doesn't feel right, bled all four corners again no air so it might just be in my head. Will test drive this...
So with rear port plugged off and front line still in, the pedal felt better and came to a stop. With the front port plugged off and rear line still in, pedal felt the same sank to the floorboard. I had one double threaded plug available so I couldn't plug both off at the same time
