    Suburban Dash Rear AC switch

My 86 Burb had a short in the rear AC switch on the dash. (The one that is hi / low / off, black rocker switch). I want to get a new one as I upgrade the system. I cannot find one for the life of me. Does anyone have a link to one? Thanks.

Cadillac CTS seats in an 89 v1500 Burb!

Made some more progress. Drivers side was definitely perfecting the lessons learned in the passenger. So happy to be at the finish line on this to move on to the next. I lucked out that the headliner matched the leather perfectly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cadillac CTS seats in an 89 v1500 Burb!

After a whole lot of distractions I finally forced myself to pull my passenger seat and get to work on the frames. Here is the design I went with. It utilizes the stock mounting holes and hardware. 1/8 steel front to back and 3/16 for those wide side to side pieces. They are actually...

[emoji23][emoji23]. Amazing. So yes; these will work with you and you are in luck; the 08-13 Caddy’s had a black leather interior option. Lucky for me the light grey is a spot on match for my new headliner so my setup will tie together nicely. The rails on these seats are flat (once you...

Do you have the same “hump” in the floor or flat floor like the pickups? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I understand. I have been. Heads down working on my interior for what feels like months now. All my trim inside has been redone. Door panels are redone. Center console. Seats now. Headliner. It’s been a long. Mechanicals are the best big project. I need to get my AC up and running...

Cadillac CTS seats in an 89 v1500 Burb!

Hey Sub... I got my CTS seats out of a pick n pull last week; and actually got a 3rd from a separate yard for spare parts and some parts for the rails that I could not get out of the original car. After some serious googling and YouTubing I got both test wired up to my cordless drill...

Thanks for the pics and update. I just found some 2010 CTS seats in my local pick n pull and I am going to tackle this for my 86 Burb. If is nice to see the side by side with the original and see it is not going to be any higher. I will update with my progress too.

Proper process for painting most of your interior parts

I have used and am still using Colorbond LVP bought from LMC. I have done the entity of the headliner trim and all the window trim. I am converting my all smurf blue Suburban to a blazer grey interior. The colorbond is amazing stuff. Spendy...but worth it, in my opinion. I have used 4...

6x9 adapters for rear speakers in Suburban?

it might be mentioned already but I did a 3/4 in MDF rectangle piece as a spacer. Basically tucks in from the rear seat release pod up to the trim under the big rear windows. Then I got some 1.5 inch 6x9 speaker adapters off Amazon for $10 or something and screwed them to the spacer. I...

First Post 86 Suburban "Uncle Buck"

I am the 2.5th owner. First owner had it for 34yrs. Hence the name uncle buck. His name was buck; had done a ton of eccentric electrical updates; most notably the conversion to a single headlight grill setup. I have probably pulled 30lbs of extra wires out of it from lights, CB radio...
