Well finally getting back to this project.
This sending/pump unit seems to gas filler on one side and fuel lines on the other which is how I would like to set up my system.
As eskimomann209 suggests I would love to replace this with a new unit but i need to identify source to buy replacement...
I am working on a square body suburban. All doors badly rusted. I have found inner door repair panels for front doors but have not seen anything for the rear doors. Does anyone know if these are even available?

My dilemma is actually a variant of the first. Getting a new locking locking ring on.
I can always cut the old ring to remove it, but getting a new ring on is a problem.

I have a dilemma. I have fuel tank that I was told was 40 gal from a suburban.
Dimensions of tank seem right but I cannot identify the pump.
My problem is the placement of the connecting lines make removing the retaining ring impossible.
As the single line that is pointing to right in picture...
I bought my module from Rock Auto... delivered to my door in 3 days for less than $20 CDN.
Tried 3 different sources and they all quoted me $145 CDN... I will take my chances on the one I got for that kind of price difference.

Testing availability may be different here in Canada.
Also I have read mixed reviews on tests accuracy. Seems that if you get the trigger right and the test lamp flashes module should be good...
