Would the entire setup from a GMT800 5.3Lwork on a 79 350 with a small pulley balencer. Or what single belt systems from factory would work with a small ballence block. When I use larger balencers they interfere with a bolt on the block and will not work.
I think that if you eliminate the fuel injection from the 305 it will negate the mileage gains that you are looking for. The power to weight with 454s in these trucks results in better gas mileage than with a carbureted small blocks. Why don't you just put the money into low pressure fuel...
