    Started in on my 78'

I just didn't put the carpet panels on the doors yet.

Well life has a way of getting in the way of things but I finally got around to installing my carpet a few weeks ago. Went with ACC 808 turquoise. Original was more of a forest green but I really liked how the turquoise looked with the rest of the interior. Also have the 6x9 cab corner...

    Mass Backed Carpet

It's ACC molded carpet. I haven't personally ordered yet but ACC is one of the top brands out there from all the reviews I've read. Just posting for anyone looking for new carpet as it's the lowest price I've found so far. With that said we should all support our local speed shops if anyone...

    Mass Backed Carpet

Not sure where this should go but thought I'd throw this out there for anyone looking for new carpet for their squares. I remember looking months ago for carpet to put in my 2wd reg cab 78 but only found high hump 400 trans carpet on Rockauto's website. Emailed them to ask about if they...

I may look into that Bonded Logic. I'm also planning to run mass backed carpet. From my understanding that is more of a rubber/foam padding under the carpet compared to the regular jute padding. Better for sound control but does it do much for heat rejection?

    Hooker "Header Back" Kit Install...?

Just a quick update to put this thread to bed, Hooker drop shipped the correct pipe after going through the proper channels through the vendor I bought them from. Frustrating when this happens but both the vendor and manufacturer customer service was top notch so can't complain about that...

    Hooker "Header Back" Kit Install...?

Weird. I wonder if it is supposed to be used for the 4WD trucks. I contacted Holley (ie Hooker) and let them know what was going on and sent them these pictures and they confirmed it is the incorrect pipe. Now I just need to go through the vendor I bought it from to get either a replacement...

    Hooker "Header Back" Kit Install...?

Here's some quick pics I took tonight. Pardon the dirty shop... it's turned into a woodshop here lately. I moved the "drop down" pipe to the drivers side but there's no good way to bolt this up no matter how I spin it. I can rotate it so the drop down is horizontal but then the pipe is still...

    Hooker "Header Back" Kit Install...?

Looking through more and more photos online I'm wondering if I have the straight section on the wrong side. Been seeing a handful of pipes with a similar bend to the header on the drivers side. ... Stay tuned

    Hooker "Header Back" Kit Install...?

I can cut the drop down off and mock it up that way but I expect a bolt on kit to be just that. Otherwise I would have just drove it to an exhaust shop and have them bend up some new pipes :banghead: I'll spend more time on it tonight. Maybe I'm overlooking something but I think it was bent...

    Hooker "Header Back" Kit Install...?

That's what I'm wondering... I'm going to double check the part number when I get home tonight and make sure its right. The instruction page has the right model years but that doesn't necessarily mean the pipes in it are correct. I've already mocked up the other side so if it's wrong hopefully...

    Hooker "Header Back" Kit Install...?

That's my last option. Just not understanding why one is a straight section coming out of the header, the other has a drop down. Throws the symmetry all off too.

    Hooker "Header Back" Kit Install...?

Hey all...I've got a relatively dumb/embarrassing question here but I recently purchased a new exhaust kit for my 78 C15 but I'm having issues with fitment. I also just installed new Hooker Comp. headers to match. I have the drivers side most all mocked up but for the RH side the pipe going to...

    05 Impala Coolant Issue

If it was up to me I'd say let's fix it and back it on the corner of the shop and keep it as a backup. But...I also have a suburban, my daily, & my wife's daily. So the burb is acting as a backup for now but we are looking at potentially getting another "family" vehicle/suv that will mostly be...

    05 Impala Coolant Issue

Well I threw some shop air in it tonight and it confirmed it's a head gasket. #2 sealed up fine on intake & exhaust but was blowing air out of the coolant bleeder. #4 & #6 were actually sealed up pretty tight considering there's 240k miles on it. Moving to the back bank...#1 looks to be...
