    87' a/c brackets

    I've just bought a 1987 gmc v1500. I'm looking for the original a/c brackets. Got in my garage and found everything I need for A/C except the brackets. Can I buy them somewhere? Seen a couple people say they are obsolete or too high to buy. THANK! somewhere in middle TN.

    Passing gear cable

    1987 GMC V1500 5.7 TBI 700r4. Just put a new passing gear cable on, now the cable from the mount to the throttle body is not at the right angle. The old one was fine but this new one is not. It is the original mount but it seems to go more straight than an angle.

    I will be working on it again Tuesday and do a reset for the iac. Got another EGR on the way because the other on it looks old so going to put another on there then test. Thanks

    I was told to get the timing right first before troubleshooting the base idle. Should I look at that first?

    Thank you. I just ordered another control module and I'll be putting it on Wednesday to see if that works. I'll also check the ground too and see if it's grounded good.

    1987 gmc v1500 5.7 tbi. Trying to set timing. Everytime I unplug the brown timing advance wire, it goes dead. I've tried advancing the timing, but still does it. Tried new coolant temp sensor, new IAC, plugs, wires, cap, button, checked all fuses.. Can't seem to keep it running. Just dies...
