What have you done to your square lately??
Cap, rotor, module,wires,plugs. Oil,oil filter,air filter&breather filter also gave it a bath. That’s enough for today. It’s time to watch some football and have a couple ( maybe 3 or so ) beers. -

As other Folks have said, have a reputable shop go threw yours. On 700r4 there is a difference between a 2wd and 4wd transmission case and it will be a roll of the dice on what case you get from a rebuild house.- 45acp

Steering Gearbox Blues
. X2 on redhead. If you want to replace it only once buy redhead. They are a little pricey,but they are the best gear box on the market.- 45acp

another windshield wiper thread
X2!! I had the same problems. Turned out to be a defective wiper motor out of the box. Very frustrating.- 45acp

90 5.7 TBI idle surging
The 5.7k has a problem with the gasket between the tbi and intake manifold leaking( I sold a lot of them in the 90's). I would spray some carb. Cleaner at the base of the tbi and see if it surges. Good luck!- 45acp

Swapping to manual hubs
I installed warn hubs about two years ago,should have done it years ago. Like others have said the auto/hubs are a weak spot. They are easy to change over ( very clear instructions). I get better fuel mileage and performance. The only downside is you must lock them in and drive a couple of miles...- 45acp

Cracked column: rebuild or replace?
I was also worried about someone stealing my truck,this is what I did a few years ago. I spliced into the power wire at the distributor,ran one side to a toggle switch hidden under the dash,ran the wire out of switch to the power wire i had cut ( soldered the connections).
