Hello

New to site and forums in general but will hopefully be able to contribute a bit. I’ve got two builds at the moment. One for me and one for the wife.

I’ve got a 77 K20 Suburban that I swapped a SM465 into. Currently not running. I pulled the heads off to upgrade and found a crack in the block. I’ve got a new wiring harness, vintage air, and carpet to go into it.

Just picked up a 81 K5 for my wife. 350 with an automatic. Bright pink in color. Working snorkel used to be a mud truck but trying to revert it back since it’s not too far gone.

Looking for info about paint codes and bumpers hopefully will be able to find them in the site.

Thanks so much!

They are definitely gonna be some good projects. Neither of them really need alot of major things. I want to be able to take both to shows. There’s a decent sized show in the little town I’m in on Saturday. Hoping to take my wife’s blazer

Thanks lol. I think that’s half the reason she wanted it. It needs bumpers and a hood to look a bit better. Gonna give her my bumpers so I can get myself some off-road ones.

Welcome to the site. Great looking vehicles! But one must warn people about bright colors as they scroll.... almost fell out of my seat.

it’s definitely bright in person too. It’s definitely obvious when she’s driving it around lol.

Don’t judge too hard on the engine bay but it’s all there. I need to get a thinner air filter then it would be 100% sealed.

Thank you.

I’m curious on the gold/yellow paint on the trim. I’ve been told it’s not common I haven’t seen any other in person with it.

The yellow in the trim is a 1977 thing. Every '77 truck with side trim had the mustard yellow insert. Same goes for wheelwell moldings. The only other trucks with the yellow insert were the '75 GMC Gentleman Jim.
