I'm almost certain that 2000 rearend is quite a bit wider than what you have. Could probably still use it, but you may have to change your wheel plans. Or you could always have it cut down to whatever length you want. Spring perches likely aren't in the right spot either. I went down this research road with my '85 and ultimately just rebuilt my original 10-bolt and upgraded to 30-spline stuff with a Yukon Duragrip and 3.90 gears
Zach, which axles did you use? Love Yukon, have it an a few different applications and all are still going strong. I also have had excellent results with Strange engineering, and a great company to work with.

I used Quick Performance's axles. I'll probably go with either Strange or Moser for the next set just for peace of mind, not totally sure how strong the QP's are. They've been fine at 425hp on the street but who knows once we start racing this thing and later on when I do a bigger motor
