Nashville New Guy with a '77 C20 Silverado

Sweet truck! And yes that trim and emblems looks extremely original and great shape.
Before getting the brown 77C10, my buddy stumbled across basically your truck. Minus the sport striped hood. He finds all the deals, local plumber mostly residential repair and remodel work so he sees behind the doors and fences of dozens of peoples homes every week. And plenty of old folks with vehicles stashed away.
This thing had like 36k original miles. And he was able to sell it for more than I wanted to pay….

I couldn't figure out how to edit my original post to add a shot of the interior, so I figured I'd just reply with them here.

The interior was in great original shape when I bought the truck - other than a modern aftermarket console-style seat. So I swapped that out for something closer to original that I found on craigslist. Other than a phone charger and the modern gauges, this is all very nicely original down to the AC Delco AM radio which plays the country station in Nashville through the dash speaker just fine.

@Fat 454 Yep- most people leave CA for TN to escape various differences in views, taxes, etc. Personally, I just prefer the trees over the desert. My wife and I met in a rock band, and we recorded in Nashville - so we'd always wanted to eventually make the move.

Nice truck! I have fond memories of these interiors; Dad's 75 Sierra Classic had this but in green. No factory tach dash but he built a bracket to mount a Sun tach on the A pillar(wayyyy before Pillar Pods were a thing). And he had an AM/FM stereo with an 8 track deck, great for cranking Foghat, Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Seger, etc. Back then we had two good rock stations in Houston.... I remember when what they call "classic rock" nowadays, was regular ol rock & roll on the radio.....6x9 pioneer coax speakers in the cab corners and the 4x10 in the dash.

Gorgeous interior - my favourite with the scroll work and birch wood grain. And you've got the steering wheel too! Just need a set of factory buckets and centre console.

Wish we had a Tennessee over here ( or Texas ) to move to. won't get into politics, but ... ( at least we have the trees )

That little piece on the steering wheel is the chef's kiss, to the whole design. Not just 50 shades of black plastic/iPads like modern trucks....

I really want one for my sub - but no one reproduces the woodgrain. Anyone got one they would sell, or found one in a wreckers ??
