I remember those kit cars. Or companies building kit cars and selling them as customs. I think it was both.

There were cars like that based on fox Mustangs, Thunderbirds, Cougers and also 3rd gen F-bodies. Didn't like them then, don't like them now, lol.

I remember the old VW Rolls Royce kits... I always found them funny as all heck.

I saw a Monte like that listed on Craigslist list a few years ago in MN or WI. I had never seen one before and thought it was interesting. Never saw it in person though.

In reality they took a pretty cool car and made it into a pretty ugly car. I own a '75 Monte and just can't appreciate the intent.

I remember those. They had to change the grille from flat to Veed, or else they had to stop making them.
