which transmission

Hi guys,

My 1982 c10 suburban has a TH700R4 tranny, so that's what they told me when buying the sub.....

The shifter indicator shows P, R ,N, 3, 2, 1 and above it says automatic overdrive ....

How can i see what kind of tranny there is in ?

Shift indicator says its non overdrive, 700r4 are overdrive

we need a picture of the pan as 350runner mentioned

700r4 = square pan

Th350 = square pan with one corner at a 45

Th400 = kinda looks like the state of Texas

Idk about that but that position in a 700r4 would be first gear. Maybe the cluster is from a different truck?

is your truck all hacked up from the pervious owner, that would explain the shift indicator
