Because you have a little compression with those 64 cc heads and a bit of an RV cam, I'd stick with the dual plane intake for the low end and mpg. But the Eddy Performer RPM will raise your power band up a little bit. Instead of Idle to 5000, it'll give you more like 1000-6000 rpm so you'll gain a bit more in the mid range as well as the low end. Just my opinion.

Agree with the dual plain intake no matter what manufacturer you choose.

The EPS is a Performer just a square bore intake, the Performer is a spreadbore intake, the RPM is a square bore intended for more rpm without sacrificing a lot of bottom end, all three are excellent intakes. If you want off idle performance with a low/stock stall converter, if you're going to run a Holley or Edelbrock carb then use the EPS, for the Q-Jet use the Performer, if you're looking for more mid range then the RPM would be the one to use, cam profile and vehicle usage will dictate which one to use.

So perhaps maybe a Tunnel Ram would be a better idea.

I have had a Weiand 7547 X-CELerator on the SS for....15 years? Because it's a piece of ****, lol.
(Later on) I anticipate changing to the new STRIP DOMINATOR 300-25, because I think it's a piece of **** too. Obviously.

I have begun to lean quite heavily towards dumping that engine+transmission into the C20 though, so - totally revelant! :grd:

OP don't listen to me.

I buy Holley. Weiand is owned by them...Buy a STEALTH. M-R-D good ones. WND-8016 is win.

All seriousness! STEALTH is a superior "off idle" intake and is far better suited for your camshaft.
STEALTH > PERFORMER -and- I have driven that cam with a Performer and it choked out on the big end, but don't listen to me, I've never run a STEALTH.
The last dual plane I bought was a Holley 300-36.

Stealth is a good intake, Performers were not made for high rpm's, even the RPM is only good to 5000 before it starts to fall off, all depends on the whole combination and rpm's, he didn't mention his intended rpm's, so if he plans on buzzing it then none of this **** is any good anyways..

BTW, you can increase the top end on a dual plane by removing small amounts from the center divider..

Open spacer works, but they eat up mileage a bit mainly because they need a bigger shot of fuel or it will stumble.

I'm not sure o intended rpm it's a Dailey driver will see expressway time maybe some expressway towing would like power right off idle as well..

That's what I did on mine mileage isn't a big concern for my application.
