Water sending unit for gauge

Does anybody know where to get a water sending unit for a gauge on my 86 GMC K 1500 I've been to Auto auto stores and it seems they don't have the exact same one with the button on top they have one with the Spade on it it's made from standard has anybody tried this I went to the dealer and it has been discontinued do I have to change my connector to a spade connector

I got one from summit last year when I couldn't find it at parts store. Think it's like 20 bucks.

Did someone swap the engine on your truck? The sending units for my ‘75 have the button connector, but by ‘86 they were using the spade connector. Mine also has 1/2” threads, and some later engines use 3/8” threads.

For example, pick up a Standard Motor Products TS-6, which has a button connector and 1/2” threads, and see how it works.
