too expensive.
IMO if you can't get it off with hand tools and a hammer, use other tools and remove the axle.
Also make sure your shoes are loosened up before you try to remove the drums.
If the shoes hang you up you can turn the pins and yank on it to remove or break the pins, I had to do that to an s-10 rear end before.
If the axle holds you up, then remove the axle.
I would just use the hammer and pry bar, slam it between the lug studs to break it's seal loose.
That first tool you could get a helper and do almost the same, 2 pry bars and somebody to slam the drum. Only thing you wouldn't be doing is pushing the axle in while prying the drum out, but if they hit the axle it'll work the same.
We beat one once on the axle, flanged the end of it, the drum came loose but would not come off the axle at the very end, had to slide it back on and grind down the flanged part we made with the hammer, then it came right off. Weird enough it was an s-10 too.
