7V during cranking is low. Check to see if a ground has been knocked off either on engine or body side

Huh, that ‘89 Caprice that I have has those wires on them, and it’s got 22K miles. Makes me wonder why they were changed.

Rodent damage perhaps.

Well what was it? You gotta tell us now, lol.

Let’s just say, the power wire that supplies the distributor may have been tucked away in a loom when I was cleaning some wires up.
