Ok, 1987 G.M.C. 350, TBI. I just got this truck and I am trying to get her to run right. The flap on my air cleaner doesn't open up when I apply heat to it. I took it off and used a hair dryer to test it. This one does not have the vacuum set up on it. I guess it has the wax thingy (yes, "thingy" IS a technical term!). How can I fix this?

From your description in the other thread it sounds like part of your tac is missing. No individual parts are available from the aftermarket so the pick-a-part yards are your source for a complete replacement.

It looks like I have the set up in figure 12-11 but I know I am missing the wax pellet actuator. Thank you all for the responses!
