Before anybody frets about it-yes it's a Ford part but DAMN....it's one stout fan assembly! I had been researching the be all/end all electric fan options for those who want the best...well, here is my offering-it's a 2010-up F150 dual 14" fan assembly pushing 6000 CFM on high speed. I have this setup controlled using my unique 3-speed conversion harness. It uses a total of (2) 50A switching relays and (2) 100A load relays with parallel diodes for spike suppression. If anyone is running a BBC spec or 6.2 diesel radiator this may be an option for you.

Here is a thread from a JEEP forum I posted on for the rock crawlers guys who wanted the biggest fan setup possible-this has more specifics and these are Genuine Motorcraft fan assemblies of which I usually stock 8-10 at any given time-I buy them in bulk direct from Motorcraft so I beat dealer prices too.

Well I've been hearing all the buzz about the 6000+ CFM F150 dual 14" fan assemblies so I bought a new Motorcraft assembly and built the most stout version of my 3-speed control harness I could and after testing it out today-wow....this monster does move some air....with my inductive amp probe clamped on the output lead in free air, I measured 5.6A, 24.8A and 40.2A on low, medium and high speed. Definitely need a 140A alternator minimum to run it I'd say. Overall measurements are 34x19x5 not including the mounting "ears". I'm running 2 diode suppressed 100A rated load relays and 2 50A control and switching relays and there's no spiking or crazy inrush currents to worry about. If you guys want to play with the baddest fan setup around, grab an RF269 fan assembly and try it out-if you have the room! This particular setup is going into a Shortbox project of mine with a 454/diesel spec'd radiator. There might be a controller or two that might run it but I gave up on controllers quite some time ago. Anyway...there ya go-let me know what you think!

Here's a Volvo dual speed fan kit I've got also-$120 for this kit and the fan switch can be bought at any parts store-BWD tfs651 is about $30. This is for use with any single dual speed fan.

I have many fan options but yes those are two of the ones I build. I have only (2) of the Volvo ones on hand at the moment. The Ford dual fan setup I built to suit-there are a few different ways they can be wired-I usually have 1 of those fans on hand at all times-new from Motorcraft.

Buick Rendevous fans fit our squares nicely too if anyone is afraid of them Ferd parts. I've heard of the Winstar fans too. Do Crown Vic fans fit our trucks too? If so, I'd imagine the Merc Marquis fans would too.

Hr. The crown vic fan has to be modified.the sides have to be cut. Not really a plug and go.
Gm do your wiring kits come ready with an auto on device such as a temp probe? The high should somehow be wired to turn on when the ac is turned so its sorta a no Brainer.

The Crown Vic fans are dual speed and I've used one in my 86 Shortbox and it fit nice with an aftermarket radiator. I always use the AC pressure switch or compressor clutch +12V lead as an override wired in parallel with the high speed switch wire.

My harness kits are supplied with either GM style temp switches or a BMW dual temp switch with all the correct leads.

I also like doing the stealth fan method-using an RF24 T-Bird dual speed fan and mounting it inside a stock truck shroud....
