Some of these I really wish had been available in the U.S.A....

While others....Well....Should have been aborted at birth.

Enjoy!

I'll keep adding to this as I see different types of trucks.

First up, some sort of Suburban looking panel truck type thing.

A super short bed crew cab. One of the ones that I wish had been brought here.

Very cheaply done, looks like they took the rear glass from an old aluminum camper shell.

A suburban?

Then there's these things......

It looks like a Nissan Pathfinder had an affair with a squarebody.

And then a Dodge Ramcharger.

And a Ford F150.

A F150 crew cab...

Weird.

The trucks were powered by V8s, inline 6s (that had a cool valve cover that said "CHEVROLET" in the old 50s script) and 4 cylinder diesels (turbo and n/a).

Some cool, some not so cool. I know they get a differant breed of vehicles down there. About 25 years ago when I was in So Cal, I worked on a mexican Ford. It was a 77 Ford PU Body style, but it was like an Expedition, or 4 Door Bronco you could also call it. All hard top one sold body. It was wierd seeing all the labels in spanish, idiots lights and guages in spanish, speedo in km if I remember correctly or maybe getting confused with a Canadian Ford PU I worked on.

The only thing I'm not digging with the Hardtop K5's is the rear window/gate area. I can understand why they didn't go the American route, but, I think it would look better.

It kind of seems like after GM went to a new body style they told everyone south of El Paso they could do whatever they want with the old tooling for the square body, and this is what we get. Long wheel base Blazers with a strange bobbed rear and a almost blazer back side windows.

1. would be cool to see...
2. crewcab on a Suburban chassis, shorten the bed. seen many of them done.
3. is a shortbed, with a cap on it, that uses Suburban doors that have been modified. the hinges are bolt on.
4-9. the hard top and bronco/Blazer things are hideous no matter how you deal the cards. would've been cool to have a hard top available, but our dimensions just look better.
9. the suburban just looks messed up, the doors, wheelwells all look messed up. and WTF is with the angles in the c pilar?

it was a 3 way with an F150, the ramcharger was just a fling.
