Hello I was wondering it it is possible to move the leaf spring perches back on the frame. I don't know if anyone of you guys have looked into it but any suggestions will help.

Yeah, cut em loose and bolt them on further back on the frame. What for though? What rear springs do you have? If you have 56 inch springs you can run them backwards which will push the rear axle back 4 inches.

IIRC, there's a bit of a hump over the axle, but you can still bolt a shackle there anyway. That's how Burbs and Blazers are set up.

However, I think you will run out of rear frame before the front shackle gets to the hump.

It would be much easier to run a set of 56's backwards and move just the rear hangers back 4 inches. What year Blazer? '78 and later have a body mount that might be where you want to put the front hanger.

It is a 80 blazer frame So if I run 56s and move it back 4 inches will that give me 8 inches difference from stock.

No, it would only be 4 inches back unless you move the front hangers back 4 inches and the rears back 8 inches. You may run out of frame though, I can't remember.

Lets get back to why you thought of moving it back. What do you want to accomplish?

If you are going to install 56's (which I would because they flex better and ride better), the rear hanger will need moved back 4 inches no matter what. Running 56's, you have the option to install them backwards, this will push the axle back 4 inches.

If you are doing the home brewed shackle flip, you will want to test fit the rear hanger before fully installing it. You may need to adjust the hanger's placement to achieve a good shackle angle.

Oh, and which frame are you asking about? The Blazer runs 52's, your truck should have 56's already.

Before you touch anything, do some background research. It's painfully obvious you haven't done that.

The only reason why I thought i would look into it is because i will have the brackets off I just wanted to see if if i could scoot the axle back since im using a 4x4 flatbed.
