Sound deadening mat

Im not looking to spend alot of money on the sound/heat deadening mat for my floor of my k20. where did you guys get yours? i know that HOme depot sells like home brand of heat sounds mat

When I was trying to quiet down the inside of my '65 I went to a fabric/upholstery shop and bought a few yards for about $40. I think it was 3/8" thick and had the foil backing on one side. Basically the same stuff you buy from LMC Truck, just not pre-cut. Then I put down the pre-formed carpet over that and it's was a nice cushy floor and a bit quieter. My current '81 has the carpet and sound deadener already in it. May pull the carpet and go with the rubber mat.

For hard to reach areas (think inside the doors, cab corners) try Boom Mat. It's available at autoparts stores. Advance sells a 20 sq/ft can for $10.

It also good as an adhesive and to fill in between the gaps of whatever sheet-type material you use.

It does smell pretty strong for awhile, but it eventually goes away.

i am useing a do it yourself bed liner they sell it as a roll on but it can be sprayed.

i sprayed my underbody and am about to spray it on the inside.
