Sending Unit O-ring

Does the O-ring go above the sending unit like shown in the attached diagram (#15)?? Or between the sending unit flange and the tank??

That dwg is messed up. As you suspect, the o-ring needs to go between the tank and the underside of the sender flange. There is nothing between the top of the flange and the locking cam.

Thanks! That's great news to me because I already have the driver side tank mounted, fuel lines connected, etc. and don't want to redo all of that!
