Ok guys grandads 1980 k20 scottsdale sat for a couple years and now I'm getting out and stretching it's legs daily. I've noticed a, what I'd call, a chatter and/or rear brake lock up coming to a stop. I thought at first it was the clutch staying engaged slightly due to saggy cab mounts. But in gear or out, clutch pressed or not it's still happening. Cab mounts and clutch issue hopefully will be fixed this weekend. I put new tires on yesterday and neglected to pull the drums off and look at them. Front pads are ok for now but on the near future list. Could I have knocked something loose inside the drums hammering on the lug nuts with the impact or do you guys think something else could be happening? I will try and sneak a peek at the shoes through the inspection holes tommorrow. It's bugging the dickens out of me right now though.

Yeah, you’re gonna have to pull that and get a closer look. Maybe pits in the drums from sitting so long causing the chatter and/or your shoes are adjusted too tightly causing the grabbing?

The dickens right out of you huh? Might wanna see a doctor about losing your dickens.

Pull the drums though. Something's froze up or separated in there.

Depending on what rear you have they will either just pull off or you will need to pull the axles. Back off the adjusters as far as you can. It will help.
