yea but you need to find out what pressure you got first, could be just a relay or maybe clogged up filter, or maybe pressure reg. bad. If you not what pressure you are putting out it can help alot. I was ready to buy a new FP and come to find out mine was a wire bad and then battery turned out bad. Mine though would not refire once up to temp. I forget how much the fitting was that goes in place of the filter, I think it was like $20 shipped or so and my old man had the gauge but you can buy the whole deal for like $50-60 but I know how it is having money being tight. I can't afford gas right now much less parts LOL.

yea there's a "sock" on it. But there's also supposed to be some screens on the injectors too, but if it starts and runs eventually might not be something plugged up, seems like it'd stay not running if something was plugged up.

you said it. I hate it for sure. Yea if it's right and working it's nice in some way but IMO a PITA to fix.

i just had to drop the tank on my sisters 95 jeep because the "sock" filter on the pump was so nasty it burnt up the pump, you can buy the actual pump without the whole houseing but you can't buy the filter for her jeep so i took some carb cleaner to it and it went back in good as new, i'd say pull the pump and check the filter on the pump itself while you're doing it all

My advice is to do what I do when facing these kinda problems; take it to a shop. I found a shop in the next town over where they are more than happy to simply diagnose my rig and let ME do the fixing. It runs $49.95 there, a fraction of the cost of the parts you end up throwing at it otherwise. Alot of shops probly won't want to but if you ask around you can probly find one...saves money in the long run not buying a bunch of stuff you don't need lol.

If you leave the key on the pump runs until it fills it up with pressure or built in timer thing kicks off? I thought I read they have a set time built in the relay or something to let it run, I aint sure but I know it does kick in and run for a few seconds. That to me if it makes a difference would sound like a fuel pressure issue like the pump not putting out enough or something.
