I'm pretty certain my rear is a 12 bolt. But the front has me questioning my judgment a bit. When I first started trying to identify my axles, I was guessing it was a 10 bolt. But the more searching I do the more I think its a Dana 44.

Truck is a bit of a Frankenstein.

Its got an 87 R10 cab with tbi 5.7 & 700r4. I was, up in till this point calling it a 87 V10 pickup, but my understanding is that an 87 would have had a 10 bolt up front from the factory. of course there is always the chance someone swapped it out.

Thanks for your help!!

Look for the number 44 cast next to the drivers axle tube.

Here is a pic of mine.

It's a 44, which wouldn't be original to the truck.

44 front, 12 bolt rear. You can tell it's a 44 because it has 2 spring u-bolts on passenger side. D60 would have 1 u-bolt and then 2 bolts on the other side that run right into the carrier. Otherwise their covers look the same at a glance.
