Just found this website. Bought my second Blazer, a 1984 K5 Scottsdale. My first Blazer was a NEW 1973 K5 with a 350 engine and manual transmission...only option was an AM radio. Lived in Colorado at this time and did lots of exploring over many of the mountain passes with this vehicle. Kept it until 1981 when I bought an new Audi.

So, at my ripe old age and after owning 38 other vehicles including Audi, BMW, Porsche (even a 356), MG, Ford Cortina, Dodge Magnum, Corvette and more, I decided I needed another Blazer. Searched for a long time in Oregon and Washington and found tons of rusted out, modified for rock crawling and lifted. I wanted a basically stock unit.

Found the 1984 south of Portland. Pretty much all stock and NO RUST. Has all the '84 emission junk on it but seems to run fine. Just a toy but I really like it. Odometer reads 75,000 but it has rolled over at least once. Rebuilt engine and 700R4.

Previously have been following the "CK5 Everything Blazer" site but found it a bit rough around the edges. Did not appreciate the a lot of the comments and certainly did like the frequent use of crude language. The Square Body site seems to be a step up with serious and well worded comments ingeneral.

nice blazer! I lived/worked in Colorado Springs at Kissing Camels when I was younger. Beautiful place to explore, for sure.

:welcome: Great looking K5. I've only been here about a year, but it's a pretty good group. Not too judgemental when you ask a "dumb" question. :Insane:

Nice to see all the welcomes! Just reinforces my opinion that this is a good website with high quality contributors.
BTW, my "new" 84 will stay pretty well stock...no lifts, no big clown tires, no 383 stroker and hopefully, no rust. Significant changes will be to the interior (seats, dash cap, carpet, etc.)...outside will maintain what the big boy collectors call "patina".
