More th700 problems

Wats up guys i got a 85 k1500 and trying to get more info on the trk and components,figured out its th700 but where does the r4 come from? also chkd oil is good not discolored so i am assuming every thing is kosh but what i cant figure out is why it shifts so hard from 1 to 2 dont have a tach but the r"s are hi. i saw a previous post showing a modulator adjustment but this has a switch looking thing and a round looking kind of canister on the pax side if theres a quick fix i would apriciate the advice thanks!

Pulled out the chiltons,it helps to read the dam manual little confused on the (TV) adjust but finally figured it out the dam cable was out of adjustment!!!! thing shifts nicely now !!

10-4 Jetdoc. Sorry I missed your post earlier today or I woulda suggested that TV cable since the 700r4 does not have a vac modulator. The 700 and the r4 comes in for 4 speeds. Some say the R is for rear wheel drive, but I am honestly not so sure that is what its for. There is also a 200-4r and why they put the -4r instead of r4, I don't know.

Keep in mind, on the 700r4 its very important to have that TV cable adjusted properly. You can actually burn up the trans without having that hooked up and adjusted correctly.
