The bench seats are pretty wide in these trucks. Has anyone ever moved the center seat belt mounts to provide room for 4 passengers? How well did it work out? I'm thinking about doing that to the rear seat of my crew cab, so 4 kids can safely sit back there. I'm not so much concerned with the legality of it, and I know how to reinforce the belt mounting points so it is safe.

My brother and I rode everywhere in my Dads 76 strapped into the same center seat belt between my parents. No modification required.

Two of the kids need to be in a car seat, preferably on the same side. A car seat on each side and two kids in the center belt wouldn't work out very well.
