Has anyone bought door panels from LMC? Do you have to drill your own holes for the trim and what not? I'm kinda confused about how I should go about installing them.

I have LMC door panels in my truck and all necessary holes are in the door panel for you :waytogo: They are easy and straight forward to install :High 5:

I got some LMC door panels in my truck and yes you do have to cut out the holes for the window crank/window switches, door lock switches, upper door trim and handle bezel but its all marked on the back side. Here is a little tip, add some rivits to the felt strip they dont put enough on them.

I've noticed over the years they've changed their panel design a few times. You use to be able to order them based on options and now they just offer the one design with no holes. I think. I'm gonna have to go get my catalog now...

Yea, the 81-87 panels come with no holes. But the 77-80 panels you can still order with the cutouts you need.

This is how you get them. The handle bezel and arm rest I just set in there for pic

How do you guys like the panels? I've been putting together my interior parts list and have them on there so I can convert to a black interior. Are they holding up OK?

Its a repop from classic parts. My truck is a silverado but I dont like the big silverado trim so I changed it to the base model trim (scottsdale/custom deluxe/sierra)

They are OK, factory panels are crap and these are no worse.

Ok, cool. I guess I meant to ask is it a factory style piece. I noticed LMC sells trim that's made just for their door panels, but you can only get it with holes for the door pulls.

The piece I have is an exact replica of a factory style trim piece. LMC does sell the silverado trim with or without the door pull handle holes. LMC also sells an aftermarket style trim piece that is not like the factory pieces, that vmust be the one you are refering to.

Yep. They sell 2 different styles. I was hoping the factory type ones would fit as I'll be buying door panels for my '84 pretty soon.

The factory style trim pieces WILL fit these door panels, you just cant use the carpet inlay on these and the aftermarket trim doesnt fit stock door panels.
