Lifting my K30.

Hey gents, just trying to put together a parts list for my K30 (mostly just to drool over at the moment).

Ideal lift for me is 4" all leaf no blocks and a cadillac like ride since some day this will be my DD. But to add to that i'll be adding air bags to the rear with a on board air pump because I will also need this truck to pull/haul also (don't want to loose my 1 ton beast).

So my thoughts, tuff country makes a all leaf 4" lift kit with 56" springs.... any reason that wouldn't fit my k30? They have it listed for k20's only.

My opinion...

You have two trucks. Leave the K30 stock to pull/haul. Lift the K20 for DD status.

U-bolts are different front and rear k20 vs k30. Also steering correction parts can be different depending on how you choose to do it. Rear shocks may be different.

You will need to extend the arm on the rear brake load proportioning valve.

Spring bushings are different too I believe check off road design they have it all. thats a droolllll worthy site.... ill take it all

Off road design it is! Shortly after i posted this i found that site and pretty much read it top to bottom. They got the **** i need for sure. As far as the K20 for a DD, you could prolli call that my DD too, thats my full time work horse and beat up truck. But i want my k30 done up to a T. I work in town and on a farm.
