So I just changed out the original pitman arm and replaced it with one meant for a 4inch lift which I have, should I also replace the other steering system components such as drag link for one meant for a 4 inch lift or is just having the 4 inch pitman arm enough?

Is your frame reinforced at the steering box?

What I have read a longer pitman arm puts more stress on the frame. I would reinforce the frame. They sell kits for it.

Okay, I'll look for one. Should I get a drag link for a 4inch lift or is that not needed since the pitman already drops it?

Shouldn't need anything else. A raised steering arm is usually the first choice, than a dropped link. You are doing it in the least desirable way, with the pitman arm.

Puts a lot more stress on the frame. The frames are prone to crack even in stock form.

Really? Might just go get a raised steering arm then. And a frame kit too.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the pitman arm route, the difference in frame stress is minimal at most. Just make sure the arm stays tight on the steering box. Box brace is a good idea no matter what. It's also a good practice to let the truck roll (don't ride the brakes hard) while making tight maneuvers into parking spots.
