Did the people selling say that? If so In what context did they say it? Maybe they meant it was Goin to be a rough winter and would need to hunt to survive?
Nope its one of the buckets. Top right.

Here's the little funnel and the deicer combo. The eagle can after a tiny bit of elbow grease.

Unfortunate. I understand not everyone has the means though. Or the interest, some ignorance thrown in there too.

Nephew found this jug in the west fork of the Amite River, here in SW Mississippi. My best friend and I spent several days cleaning on it to keep from ruining it

I was already in the city picking up a bumper. These people had all of these vintage cans for $50 obo, so I decided why not. I'll have to get a pic later but there was another item they had, in another ad with some junk, so I offered $40 for all the cans and this other item, they said $50 so I said done deal.

Some really neat stuff, I think my favorite is the eagle can. The conoco bucket is cool, I also really enjoy the little funnel on "gasline antifreeze". The Mobil trans fluid is cool, dont really see trans fluid for some reason. The jerry can is worth the $50 by itself really.

I also have a whole box of the Texaco havoline cans, like 10 extra if anybody would like some. They are open.

Just to add to @squaredeal91 & @PrairieDrifter

Not everyone has the $$$ to fix it along with the knowledge.

Others have way too much $$$ that they know how to write off the forklift as a loss and buy a brand new one while they are at it.

I worked at a steel mill at one time and the sister yard was the scrap buying yard.... I used to love it... I had many an antiques from there.
I've posted some before.

That is a really nice score there. I like local pieces. I love USHistory & learning about all kinds of places.

My M-I-L lives a few hundred yards away from the Amite River in Baton Rouge. She was flooded out of her home a few years back when you guys got all that rain up there.

When we were finally able to go spend some time rebuilding her home I made it out to the Amite to see if there was anything that was exposed from year long gone.

I found nothing but foam coolers, boat seats, junk, and trash... :happy175:

Here is the mysterious item I mentioned. She shorted me the jerry can holder, but I robbed her of this basically. Remember now, all the cans and this item for $50! I scored real good.

It's in pretty good shape, a little beat up, but thats my style! Haven't seen a cheap one on eBay since I started searching for them. I just happened to luck out while quickly skimming ads.

Hello @PrairieDrifter. I hope all is well.
I have done a really long extensive search to my abilities and have not been able to find any information on what "Gun Winter" is.

I did find out Carter Oil Company is still in business. I was part of Standard Oil, Exxon, and others.

Is there any other information printed on that can?

Please advise.

Best wishes to you and all of your loved ones always!

I appreciate the searching! There is some other text on it, I'll have to get it cleaned up and look. Crazy how no one has chimed in on it yet, I figured out of all of us here at least one person would know.

Super cool! It's insulated, so it's actually supposed to keep stuff cool. Although I'll just use it as an arm rest, cup holder, and storage bin.

Definitely spendy units. A bunch of different colors available.
