So, I am finally starting the restoration of the 74, and trying to get all my ducks in a row. Ran into a small snag, concerning hubcaps. Can anyone tell me if a 3/4 ton 4x4 came with hubcaps as standard equipment? I was three when grandpa bought it, so I don't remember if it ever had them. My brother says it didn't, and grandpa wasn't really a hubcap type of guy, but the brochure shows them. Once again, I am turning to the expertise running rampant in this forum for some help. Thanks

I do not believe there were hubcaps available for the 3/4 ton until 1975. I haven't found anything in the brochures or info pages. I need to look through the parts manuals.

[edit]Base model K20s did not come with hubcaps and they appear to have been optional on the Sierra Super Custom in chrome. Nos. 2 and 3.

Not sure if the 74's came with caps. But I believe the later model k-20's came with dog dish caps. I guess it all depends if you want to show off your lug nuts. You can find a complete set of four caps on ebay for $50-70...

@RetroC10Sport....this (pic below) is on a 3/4 ton 8 lug wheel. Is there a difference where they had the same design but made them different if 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton?

EDIT: nvm...I see that the one I posted are a slightly different design and are probably slightly bigger. Took me posting it close to the other img posted to see the difference :waytogo:

^Will not fit a K20, they are for a K10.

NOPE. Re-read your spec sheet. If you have a K20, it prolly came stock w/ 16" wheels/10 plys and dog dishes like this:

Those were not available until 1976. I know the book is saying 1973-78 but it is wrong.

If you will look at your pictures, you are showing two different hubcaps.
