Hey all - also a 3+3 but its a v30 4x4 1ton

Have always owned chevy trucks.......This is my first square and I'm pretty excited about it. Runs on a beat down 454 tbi and the th400 needs rebuilt but I picked it up for 3k with a new interior fairly straight body/paint and nice wheel/tire setup.....Wish me luck

That's a really nice looking truck, nice find for sure. Although it looks like someone swapped out your D60 front for a D44 (External style hubs).

this is what i'm looking for...info.. thats a good observation but I just assumed the v30 came with the 44? no?

Nope, K30's after 77 and up came with Dana 60's front. K10 and K20 came with 10bolts or Dana 44.

Great! I love buying 25yr old trucks and finding this crap out. The rear is for sure the 14 bolt..Looks like semi-float. Would the front axle be different because its a v30? Probably not huh?
So do you guys know which transfer case it originally would have come with? I have yet to get down there and ID the one thats on it. Would the axle in any way determine the TC?
