GMT400 Bench Seat in a Square ???

So this 98 Truck I got the 4L80-E out of, has a sold bench seat. The seat seems very comfy for me being its contoured.

Anyone know how hard it is to make fit? Exact bolt in? Is it possible to bolt the square seat brackets to the GMT 400 seat? If anyone has done this mod or upgrade, please let me know what's involved and if its possible without mega work like the 99 seats are.

I DID grab it. I got it. Its in good shape as far as the foam, springs and frame. The cover has not tore through, but the top layer of the vinyl is peeled on the driver and passenger side, so it would be a good candidate for a seat cover, or to have it reupholstered over the OEM vinyl. I just want to know if anyone has done it, and what all was involved. I think the contour of this seat will be great for my back.

You should be able to adapt it to fit, How is kind of hard to tell with out doing it. I can tell you this the bench seat's from the GMT400's will NOT directly bolt inplace of the Bench seats in the same trucks. I had to redrill the passengerside holes in my uncles truck.

yea his truck was a 96 that had bucket seats, the driverside seat was nothing but springs showing, so I pulled his console, seats and just threw in the bench seat. That reminds me though my seat is screwed to hell his truck i put the seat in is sitting in the weeds now with a blown up 6.5. hmmmmmm

I'd really like to find a decent bench with headrests someday that I could bolt in to the holes with adapters or something. I just don't want to do a bunch of drilling holes into my truck, redoing floor plan, etc.
