Did you ever sort out that Code 42 with the troubleshooting flow chart? You could also probe the ECM for voltages if you wanted to do that and see if something’s not right. I’d keep the TBI, or I’d switch to carb as a last resort. I’ve heard mixed reviews on the Holley TBI. I think in 999/1000 cases, a good TBI is going to be more reliable than a good carb. Yours maybe the one that got away, but with a stock tune and assuming nothing’s been hacked, it should be fixable well within reason.

The only thing it can be is the distributor or computer Idk if it's the computer cause it pulls codes fine but I'm also having issues starting I now have to barely put my foot on gas to start and smog I like to get rid of it

Don't forget about the emissions thing if you have it in your area before tearing into it..

2 barrel with a manual choke. 10x reliability rating. You can still do burnouts with it and get 30 mpg all day long.

So just out of curiosity, why are you asking about this? Most people would just install what was on it when they swap engines. Inquiring minds and all that, you know?

Well, depends on what 2 barrel, factory one no, 600 4 barrel has way smaller primaries than the 2 barrel, keep your foot out of it and you'll get better mileage..
