73' frames are notorious for cracking. I would check the whole frame. sounds like it's time for a new frame. highdesertranger

That is repairable, but to do it properly the complete suspension crossmember should be removed. Once welded up, it looks like there's room for a couple little fish plates to be welded in for a little extra strength.

sure that crack is repairable. but I have done the 73 frame crack chase. it seems that once it starts you fix one an another appears, and another, and another. this was my experience. never really fixed it until I replace the frame. highdesertranger

I pulled it apart welded it up and
then fish plated it so we will see
I cleaned the hole frame before undercutting and painting it
and this it the only crack I found
