Engine question

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else. Been searching high and low.to no luck. I am putting a new crate engine in our 1995 suburban. The old will be going into one of my two squares,which one will depend on factors not related to the question. So I know I will need a new intake to keep my carburetor. Anything else I am going to need? Besides tools to do the job.

Gauge or light senders? Do I need a specific distributor or will the one one the newish engine work? Flexplates be same or those trans specific?

The oil pressure and coolant temp senders. You will need either a stand alone HEI distributer with vacuume advance or an HEI set up for ESC depending on what year truck its going in. By the way what year truck is it going in?

It will either be going into an 86 c20 with 700r4 or into an 86 k2500 with th350.
