Engine Identification?

So my 82 c20 has a small block. I was told it was a 350 but when I look up the number on the pad behind the alternator it says it's a 400. Code is V08 TTC... which is it??

Look behind the driver head. Alternator pad isn't always conclusive.

These are casting numbers for 400 blocks, found on the block "ledge" behind the driver's side head, as mentioned above.

So if it's a 400 it should have one of those two numbers behind the head?

TTC is the code for a 350 in 1982 C20s and C30s.

Okay thanks! When I looked it up it came up as 400 for some reason

It was used for the 400 in 1980 vans as well.
