custom dash lighting

Does anybody have any how to's on brightening up the gauge cluster?

awesome thanks. I just found the thread talks about all this. I'm wondering if I just replace these old bulbs with new ones would make the difference I want. The whole no dimmer thing kind of has me bothered.

That's why I opted for new 168s. I would like whiter guages, but I need to be able to fine dim them. I set my vehicles like my airplanes, dim for night, then I can actually see out the window!

take it apart, paint the inside and the back of the plastic that goes over it gloss white or chrome. then add what you want for lights. making the light reflect better, helps.
