I'm going to be doing a 2wd to 4wd swap on my crew cab. I'm going to be putting the Ford Dana 60 with stock rear Chevy 1/2 springs in the front. My question is can I get the regular crossover steering or do i have to get the high crossover steering. Thanks for all your help.

Crossover and histeer are 2 different things.

Crossover converts the stock push pull set up to a drag link that goes to an arm mounted on the pass side knuckle.

Histeer moves the wheel to wheel tie rod for the stock position up above the springs to arms mounted on top of the knuckles.

I think what he's referring to is would he have to order a high steer arm for his passenger side knuckle for his draglink to connect to. If so then I'm not entirely sure because it depends on what Ford Dana 60 your using ball joint or king pin. Are you ordering a kit or adapting the Ford steering to your Chevy. Many factors will change what you need also is there any lift that you are running? Pics would help a lot.

Yes bowtiejockey thats exactly what I'm asking. The kit I'm looking at is from off-road design. I will be using the king pin style. 77-79 dana 60. Both kits they make are for putting that axle in. It will end up being a 4" lift. If I read things correctly, by putting stock 1/2 ton rear springs in the front it gives you 4".

Yes will have to put some sort of arm on the passenger side, now if you can move the arm from the driver's side idk because I'm not that experienced with 60s but if not will need an arm from somwere to attach your dragling to.

You just need the regular crossover kit but tell them you're using a ford 60 as the drag link length may be slightly different. ORD has a lot of experience with your set up.
