I’d take it, but for our smog laws. Everything would need to be original under the hood and I’m just not willing to take that gamble on an out of state gasser post 1975 model year.

Now that is just flat out cool. I don't know that I ever saw one with a I6.

That is just screaming for a Cummins swap.

What the? A one ton with a gasser inline 6, with a 3 speed. That doesn't make sense to me. Did GM even make such a truck?

I have seen cab & chassis trucks with a 292 before. They were all regular cabs however.
292 would be the standard powerplant but a 250 and a 3 speed could not be had Im pretty sure, soemoen swapped. the 292 would have a 4 speed manual as the standard trans I believe too.

That is not a 3 speed. It's a SM465 4 speed. They are confused because the knob says L,1,2,3. Looks like a 292, so that could be factory with the 4 speed.
I think the sag 3 speed only came in front of 250s anyway

That is definitely a 292/SM465, which would have been the base model engine in all 1 tons. You just never see them because it was cheap to upgrade the powertrain and a crewcab is so big and top-tier in the lineup that almost everyone sprung for at least the 350 option.

We hauled a lot of grain years ago with 292's in C60s. That is a powerful engine with the right gearing. Not gonna be a speeder on the road though. I'd love to have another.

that 292 was probably also slightly de-hp from the regular, but like you said with the gearing lol, and go for many many miles

This is what I was going say. I have no idea if the I6 was available on the crew cab or not, but C50 & 60 Medium duty trucks did.
