Column shifter working with 4l60e

So maybe I did something wrong so before my ls swap I had a turbo 350 auto it had p r n d 2 1 and now the 4l60e had
P r n d 3 2 1. I managed to hook up my original column shifter to the new trans but just noticed it goes down to 2 gear and not 1 gear. Is there anyway to modify my column to go down one more notch. When I saw a video on YouTube on how to make the original column work I didn't realize that it had the 700r4 trans. So that's why he could get it into 1 gear.

Probably going to need new shifter linkage to accommodate the extra gear. Get one from an overdrive truck.

On my old 85, i just had to swap to a od indicator.

I heard of the piece being needed, but it worked fine on 85. Might have been broken.

Yep, it looks like if the south end of that piece were broken, the shifter would have free range to travel all the way down into 1st gear.
