I have a 95 454tbi with a 4l80e 17 bolt pan . I have a code 43 knock sensor ground, open , short to + . I have changed the ecm , knock sensor read out the blue wire from k/s to the ecm no ground found . the wire has continuity from the sensor plug to the ecm .The blue wire at the ecm pin has 2 blue wires I can not find where the 2nd wire go's ??? the egr valve has been deleted out of the wiring harness if that would have anything to do with the k/s . I have found out that there is 2 deferent knock sensor's for this eng/trans setup .1 sensor is for a 16 bolt trans pan the 2nd is for a 17 bolt pan on a 4l80e transmission . So how do I tell what trans and knock sensor my ecm requires ??? I am lost and need lots of help with this.

Seems they're more concerned about voltage out of the ECM at D5. But you have changed the ECM, so that should eliminate voltage out.

Circuit 496 (the DK BLU lead to the sensor from D5) has been checked for continuity and ground faults. That should eliminate the wiring.

Only thing left is the sensor. But, you have changed that too.

Check for resistance across the sensor (from the terminal to the block). They want between 3300 and 4500 ohms. If it is high, maybe check the threads in the block. No teflon tape on the sensor threads - right?

If it's low, maybe you got a bad one out of the box?

Those were just a few thoughts I had, someone who knows more about this circuit will probably be along soon to help.

Some info on code 43 (earlier year but still valid):
