An external speaker sound 1000x better than the one in radio.

I'll have to try it out and see then. I've got some old unit from the early 80's, an Audiovox or something, I always thought the speaker was plenty loud/good enough. I hardly ever use it though.

How i have mine mounted. I just drilled two holes through the dash pad and sandwiched it with some fender washers.

I've got this old CB that I'd like to put in the C10 because of it's small size. I got it from a conversion van about 10 years ago and the antenna setup was weird. It's got this convertor box on it that I'm guessing lets you run one antenna for the radio and CB together? I looks like you plug a radio antenna into it, but it's labeled that a CB antenna goes there. How do I hook it up? Or should I just trash the cable because it's garbage?

OK,all this talk about CB radios bringing up a lot of memories, now I`m going to have to go poking around in the shed an see what is all out there,it has been a very long time since I`ve thought about these things.
Might be good to start a thread about what CB handle everyone goes by.LOL Mine used to be "Maddog" kind of as in 50/50 :drink_nl::favorites37:
Used to sit up on winter nights listening to the "Skip" and the way some of them guys come in they must have been pushing a kizillion watts or better.LOL

I would trash the connector and just use a regular CB anntena. The radio/cb anntena you would need for that box is junk.

I go by River Rat, my Dad used that handle when I was a kid in the 70's. I stole it since Im just not creative enough to come up with a better one.
