I am purchasing my first square body K10. It's a 1976 with a lot of body rust although the cab is decent. I like the round headlight look and want to use the front of a 1979. I also see that doors and front fenders have different part numbers between the two years. It looks like the side markers in the front fenders are different. Are there any other differences in the doors and front fenders between 1976 and 1979 for replacement parts? If not, are there other things to replace or modify to bolt on these parts? I'm trying to put together a cost sheet because I have a budget for this project.

Is AMD generally recognized as having the best fitting replacement sheet metal?

Thanks...

AMD generally has better panels. All sheet metal that I needed for one of my cars was AMD and did not have too many fitment issues.
