I saw them put one of those on in Truckin' magazine(I think it was that one...). Turned out pretty good if I remember correctly.

Mine needs one desperately. I had my dash pad off yesterday to wire up the tach, and it is a disaster! Very little actual structure left of it, its all cracked and dried out like a mummy LOL

yea them plastic covers crack too, ask me how I know.

I paid $100 for one on old mans 84 and about a year or so later found a big crack in it. talk about pissed off. it does fit good and looks good but not worth the price when it cracked.

As for cracked ones I've repaired them with 3m flexible repair compound and then painted the whole thing, turned out pretty good but took alot of stuff to fill in the cracks and repair them.

I think I would like to get one of the Grant "nostalgia" wheels for mine. The one that looks like the old Corvette wheel. Walnut rim, slotted stainless spokes. It won't match the rest of the interior but who cares?

Bringin it back from the dead. Anybody ever strip it down to metal? My dash is cracked pretty bad and instead of starting a new thread I found this one. I was thinkin of strippin it to the metal and just putting new material on but without foam. What do you guys think?

I have actually took off all the padding on the dash board and did a little fiberglass work to fill in alot of the holes that are all over it. It does look that bad and if you took your time and did it, it would look nice. Let me get some pics and post them
