i can't seem to find a copper brass one anywhere! the vistapro 399077 was supposed to be, but it is aluminum.

does it matter? it could jsut be the radiator shop wanted to sell me his services, but he said i should not get aluminum if at all possible because they are all junk and don't work as well or move as much air.

so can i still get a copper/brass one? should i even try?

Aluminum is cheaper, so that's what the aftermarket uses on everything now. It will probably work fine, but if it's a big concern, might be able to find a new GM core.

there is a shop locally that apparently has a few cores in stock, but would need to unsolder my tanks and solder them onto the new core for the tune of 145.00 :(

it's not like I am restoring it or anything, but the factory core (assuming anyway, haven't got it out yet) pumps out a lot of heat! more than any other vehicle i own.

I replaced my original one with an aluminum one a couple months ago, and now it throws way more heat than it ever did.

Mine was leaking and 1/2 plugged up and was still hot enough to roast you out of the cabin. Can't wait for one that isn't plugged up!

I didn't like the build quality nor the fitment of the Al ones.
