Anything I should be cautious of taking it apart? Any special tips to remove it or just start taking it out? I'm getting it for $25

If it's full of freon, then you'll want to watch yourself..BUT, if it's not converted to R134-a already, it's not compatible with R12. There's alternatives to R12 though. Make sure no moisture gets in the system, tape up the ends or block any open ports soon after taking parts off until you're ready to install them in your truck.

Good idea to replace the orifice tube as well (it's like $2.) while everything's apart.
